Spring Ford at ACC

My daughter is in the Spring Ford High School band, she is a freshman, her practice schedule made it so that we were unable to do much camping. But yesterday was the championships, and they won, so that made it worth it.

Congrats. I know what you mean. My daughter is a cheerleader and competition is this weekend, then her team made the playoffs yesterday, so the playoffs are in 2 weeks, then the week after that they have a banquet.

Really need to get my blogs back up to date

That is the way with us. Our one son plays football,So about mid July our camping comes to a halt. But what we have done is go to campgrounds near away games. That way we get the best of both worlds.

Its all fun and games then crasher gets a site beside you

Congrats- that is amazing and you must be so proud!
Our oldest isn't involved in anything in the summer except the regular Youth Group- and the 8 yr old is visually impaired so we know he won't be doing any sports or band stuff:)

Thanks - we definitely are.

I wouldn't count out band activities. The bands tend to be very inclusive. I know one band had a child in a wheelchair in their percussion line. Our band has always had some kids with specials needs in it too.

Our youngest so far gets really nervous- cause of his visual thing- he is dayblind/colorblind and has very low vison- so he is very cautious- we don't treat him any different- but he lets us know when he is uncomfortable- he has Achromatopsia... only 10 thousand people in the US have it;)
This video is awesome at explaining what it is-

That is very interesting. I'm sure he will find an activity that makes him comfortable and lets him have fun too!

We were kinda hoping he would take up wrestling - it is all sound and feeling- no need really for good vision- he loves art though believe it or not -we are encouraging it- and loves to build- with legos- he just doesn't know the colors;)
