got a permanent site for the season but the campground has no cable hookup and I never had much luck with the batwing antenna on the roof of the camper. so what options do I have in trying to get television.I'm considering dish network pay as you go but until I get the camper in the site I don't know if I will receive satellite(campground is fairly wooded) so I'm just trying to weigh any options I might have.

I wondered about this too.. I looked into this and what I found was that apparently some satellite networks work off of GPS, so even if you are in the woods you will still get what you want but you do have to get a system that is compatible with the satellite network. Here is an example:
To receive DIRECTV® Service, you need a mobile receiver manufactured by King Controls, KVH Industries or Winegard. This mobile receiver is easily attachable to your car's roof or luggage rack. Equipped with a GPS system, it is compatible with virtually all standard factory-installed and aftermarket video systems. So you'll enjoy the same 100% digital picture and sound you're used to at home — on every channel.
Find a King Controls, KVH or Winegard retailer in your area.
