Just doing my civic duty and letting ya'll know that on Oct 24th only, Lake Raystown Resort if offering a 15% discount on reservations for next year. Beautiful area near the Army Corps campground. If ya' like it quiet and "state park" like, I recommend the Walnut Loop. Have a good day all

Well, this is from an email message I received today directly from Lake Raystown Resort and Conference Center and Campground. Perhaps you are mistaking this for Seven Points Campground that is run by the Army Corps of Engineers? I would also say if you call to make sure about any cancellation fees.

It is for 15% of 2013 reservations. You have to call it in to get the discount, so it will not apply to online reservations. Also, you have to pay for the reservation when you make it. Be sure to check out their cancellation policy before you make the reservation too.

With all that said, it is a nice place to go so that you can enjoy your hookup amenities unlike at Seven Points (the Army Corps of Engineer's campground at Raystown Lake area) where there is only electric. The closest town, shopping etc, is about 25 mins away and there is very spotty cell phone reception in that area. Check out my review if you want more info. It is a nice area to get away from it all... I would hope too that they have upgraded their washer/dryers for the campground too. Hope this helps!

There is no 6 month wait time at the resort....however, there is at the seven points location , a totally different area of Raystown lake. If you are coming from Huntington, you will come across SEVEN POINTS RECREATION AREA before you get the LAKE RAYSTOWN RESORT. I would say the resort is roughly ten miles further down the road, again if you are coming from the Huntington area.
