For those of you with campers...

When you get a site that is really roughin it, "No Electric"...

How long does your battery last you, and how many batteries do you have?

Also - Have you ever charge the battery while on site from something other than an electrical connection?

next year, i am planning on getting 2 6volt batteries and running in series. i did alittle research and it seems you get double the capacity than just running a single 12 volt

We just got back from a 8 day trip without electric. I can get about 4 days out of my battery, before it starts getting really low,by watching my 12 volt useage. I carry a spare battery just in case. Do use a generator to keep the main battery charged up. Run it a couple hours or so a day or every other day and everything is fine. Have been thinking about a solar charger but need to check into them more first. I heard they work and have seen a lot of folks use them.
