We live in Oregon, but are planning on moving back East."Rebounding !" lol. All of our family live in the Tri-State area and we want to be closer to them. But in looking at housing, cannot find any information about parking your RV on your property.
So really very confused about where to live and still keep our Class A motorhome. I am sure that some communities have harsh rules about parking an RV on your property, same out here. Only park to load and unload, then off to storage.
We are lucky that we have a small farm, plenty of space. Have even set up the MH with full hook up site. We even use it as spare guesthouse on occasion.
Any information about the rules of the land would be helpful.
Thanks

Unfortunately, that type of restriction can vary from town to town, and also by development (particularly ones with homeowner associations). If you have retained the services of a real estate agent, they should be able to steer you to houses that will meet your needs. If not, Realtor.com has an option in their advanced search where you can check off if RV/Boat parking is available.

As stated, that can be different from town to town. Some areas will let you have an RV on your property, but the front of it must be farther back than the front of your house. Some areas, like where Ilive, have no restrictions at all.
If you have an area you are looking in, go to the township, borough, etc website. They may have some info there.
Good luck

Generally speaking, if there is no zoning ( like where I live ) or agricultural zoning, its a safe bet its ok. If you live in a residential area, it depends. My sister lives in a development and two of her neighbors have motor homes in their drives...that is in Linglestown PA, out in West Hanover twnshp, I see the same thing.

I think the closer to the city , the less chance you have of it being allowed. (city meaning Harrisburg). I have aunts and uncles in the Dillsburg/Gettysburg area that have large campers and one had a motorhome at their home in the drive or alongside their house.
