The Bethlehem Christmas City Village is an open-air festival that boasts an impressive selection of quality crafts and authentic German foods. Fashioned after the traditional German Weihnachtsmarkten, Christmas City Village is sure to delight visitors of all ages and just might become your new holiday tradition! This is the perfect festival for bundling up and slowing down. So grab a mug of hot-mulled wine and squeeze close to your loved ones while you shop for the holidays.

True to its German style, vendors are camped in handmade wooden booths, and while the numbers of vendors are limited to a couple dozen, the selection is superb. The vendors change weekly and include everything from German smokers, to handmade dolls and nutcrackers to iron smiths and wooden and glass ornaments. There is an amazing selection of artisan foods, such as cheeses and baked goods. While there, enjoy traditional German fare and hot beverages, served fresh all day and night.

Bethlehem was named the Christmas City in 1937, and since then they have certainly lived up to their name. Protecting this moniker is no small feat and this festival certainly helps to foot the bill. While Christmas City Village is an event in and of itself, it is conveniently nestled in Bethlehem’s historic downtown which also boasts an impressive selection of unique holiday shopping.

Admission is free but parking is downtown so be prepared to park in a garage.
