So how many on here have their camping season planned for the upcoming summer yet?

I'm sure Rich does. The Allentown RV show is this weekend then we are getting together after that to do some planning. Gonna do a long trip in June, possibly to the new campground in Delaware. I made a list of about 30 campgrounds within about 2 drive hours that we haven't been to yet.

I did see that the Pittsburgh RV show starts this weekend. I know I am hoping to make it there to see if there is anywhere else that I would like to try. One thing that I have noticed is that there is more campground booking up a lot earlier this year than in the past. There must be more and more people out there that have started to do more camping.

we already got all the holidays off work,just gotta decide what other days we wanna take off and how much fishing I wanna do.

I will say we are slacking this year with only two trips planned so far.

We have 3 planned, but none booked yet.

My list is now up to 53. All within about a 2 hour drive, with the exception of 3. I never realized there were that many campgrounds that close. I did some research on each one I found. We are getting together this weekend to plan some trips. Unfortunately, Buttonwood is booked for the extended weekend we wanted.

mikhen I have actually noticed that there is a lot of places that is booked already for a majority of the holiday weekends this year. I know of some that is already booked for Labor day weekend. I think there are a lot more people camping now so it seems to be getting harder to get some places to book.

I am now on a hunt for areas local to us for the summer we are going to be held down to real short trips and close to us with one's job change.

We have 2 planned so far, but only one reserved. The big trip this year will be Florida for 2 weeks.

Grizzly...try this to find more campgrounds...go to Google Maps, I like the earth view, search for "campgrounds in pa". Then zoom in on the area you want to search. I couldn't believe how many I found close to home that I never knew existed.

I will have to try that Mikhen the only other thing that I know that will hurt us is the check in time I have to make sure that we will be able to do a later check in witch is going to be fun. But thanks for the tip I am gonna give it a whirl today.

Well first trip in finally. Was not a bad weekend until we tried to leave and the fifth wheel would not lock automatically like it should. I can say not a very fun trip home thank goodness that it was only about 20 miles to home.
