Do I truly need to use ball grease or can I use any kind of grease like axle grease?

I have always used just regular grease.Whatever i have in the grease gun
Its all fun and games then crasher gets a site beside you

Not sure I was clear but as I just re-read the post. Do I need to use ball grease for my hitch ball or will any other grease work?

I with campinfamily whatever grease is in my grease gun. Couple pumps around the outside last a long time.
