Can anyone give me a few ideas of rivers or sections of rivers that would be family friendly (float trips, rafting, canoeing) campground too.
Thanks,

Don't know if you ever get toward Lake Raystown, but below the dam in Huntingdon County, there is a wonderful 4 mile stretch of the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River that goes to the point in Huntingdon. (There is another takeout further down at Mapleton depot, we never went this far) We kayaked it almost all summer and saw many people rafting it. It has a nice flow, but nothing crazy...There is a small campground along this stretch called Branch Campground (less than 30 sites).
Someone also told us about a campground, PetteCote Juntion Campground that is right along Pine Creek near PA Grand Canyon. They said there is a bike trail there too.

if your interested in the upper delaware river these web sites will help you get started. www.upperdelawarecouncil.org andwww.nps.gov/upde.i am planning a canoe float on the west branch from balls eddy to hancock and a tube trip from skinners falls to narrowsburg this summer.we have tubed from ten mile river to lackawaxen, that trip was too long and my wife did not like the rapids.also tubed from the buckingham acess to lordsville, that was a slow easy float, we saw two bald eagles hunting fish on that trip.
