I love them all also!!! There are a lot of times that mountain pies are our dinner on Saturday. Kids get to make whatever they want and wife and I can really experiment with different fixings. Ham and cheese with hot peppers would be my all time favorite. :

yea i had mine first while camping at raystown, CampPA Ranger, Wildflower and Fireside introduced me and photobug to these mountain pies. Whoohoo they are delicious! Mushrooms, pizza sauce, pepperoni, etc.
What do you guys make yours with? what are other options to make these?

Use all the mixings for tacos, but instead of bread, use the Pillsbury croissant things that are rolled up in a tube.

We have used our mountain pie makers on the gas grill on the deck in the winter time. Good way to get your mountain pie in the winter time to hold you over till camping season.

Yeah... great idea... My wife had one of those electric sandwich makers from college... Don't laugh... the name of it is a stuff and munch... But you can make two mountain lies it in anytime... Pretty nice to have... we take it in the caller and if we are too tired to build a fire or it is rainy, just plug it in, stuff, and munch!

Who says mountain pie makers are just for camping. We use ours year round, either outside at the fire ring or at the wood-stove. So keep enjoying those pie irons.

We make pies every trip, usually just for breakfast. Getting tired of burgers and dogs for Saturday's lunch. I think this Saturday will be steak and cheese or pizza.

Has anyone made a taco kind using a flour tortilla instead of bread? I read about this online, but I wasn't sure if the tortilla would hold up.
I was looking through this thread for some inspiration for an upcoming camping trip, and I've been motivated to make some raspberry pie filling for mountain pies from our fresh raspberries! Thanks all, for the great ideas!
