There are a lot of times that mountain pies are our dinner on Saturday. Kids get to make whatever they want and wife and I can really experiment with different fixings.

Ham and cheese with hot peppers would be my all time favorite. :

I just had moutain pies for the first time a few weeks ago. They were good.

bread, pizza sauce, pepperoni, and cheese

where you been hiding out if you just had mountains not long ago. i take it you are fairly new to camping?

we have made cheese steak and ham bbq mountain pies along with the pizza and pie filling ones

steak and cheese could be good. i don't think i've ever had any pie filling ones.

The first time I ever had mountain pies was with pie filling. They are all great.

yea i had mine first while camping at raystown, CampPA Ranger, Wildflower and Fireside introduced me and photobug to these mountain pies. Whoohoo they are delicious! Mushrooms, pizza sauce, pepperoni, etc.

What do you guys make yours with? what are other options to make these?

Well, most of my camping was done in the backyard as a kid. I just started to camp more in the last few years. It could also be more of a PA thing and I've only been here a few years.

you can do onions, barbecue sauce, mozzarella, and seasoned chicken.
