Okay guys... I need to ask...

What do you do with your dog when traveling to a campground long distance and you stop somewhere to get something to eat?

If they are in the truck and it is hot or cold outside, what do you do with them?

I have an extra key fob for my truck, and we simply leave the truck running with heat or A/C on and lock it up tight...

The truck has an Auto Climate Control, so it keeps it at the temperature I set it at, so it is not an issue getting to hot or too cold for them.

I have tested it before and I only use like .4 Gallons of diesel letting it run like an hour and fifteen minutes.

Not bad for keeping them comfy inside.

Just wondering what you guys do...

We don't stop at restaurants when traveling long distances with the pooch. Food in refrigerator and propane is already running if we want to use the stove. Rest areas are great for this purpose. Always have a little water in fresh water tank and in black tank also. Would rather use my own facilities than the dirty, public ones.

i like animals, but this is why i don't want any pets. it's nice to just go when you want to go, not have to worry about what you're gonna do with the pets.

yea, crasher but the majority of people around you have pets, so if you did have a pet, what would you do with your dog when traveling to a campground long distance and you stop somewhere to get something to eat?

If they are in the truck and it is hot or cold outside, what do you do with them?

I dont have any pets, of my own, family owns a ton of pets, but when they travel, i know they have to leave the dogs in the vehicle or keep them on a leash. If it is hot outside, leave the windows cracked and if its cold, leave the vehicle running...with the Ebrake on.

what if you just put them in the camper? even on hot days it doesn't seem bad in the camper.

or, i guess i'd just do what was stated above. leave the vehicle run with the ac on, or hit a drive thru
